90s Revival in Potsdam

 Letzte Woche habe ich nach langer Zeit mal wieder einen Tagesausflug innerhalb Deutschlands gemacht - und es war wirklich wunderbar. Diesmal ging es nach Potsdam. Ich wollte schon so lange mal nach Potsdam und habe mich sehr gefreut dass ich nun endlich die Möglichkeit hatte. Es war zwar mein erstes mal in Potsdam, ich wusste jedoch schon vorher dass Potsdam für seine atemberaubenden Schlossbauten bekannt ist. Ich wusste auch, dass ich diese definitiv besuchen werde und dort Fotos machen werde und ich dementsprechend auch ein cooles Outfit brauche. 

After ages I finally did a day trip in Germany again last week and it was amazing. This time around I went to see Potsdam. I have been wanting to go there for quite sometime and I am very pleased that I finally had the opportunity to go there. Even though it was my first time visiting Potsdam, I did know before that it is known for its spectacular castle buildings. I also knew, that I will take a lot of photos of said castles and thus, needed to wear a cool Outfit. 

Ursprünglich wollte ich eigentlich für ein Barock oder Renaissance inspiriertes Outfit gehen. Jedoch habe ich an dem Tag des Ausfluges nicht nur jegliche Inspiration diesbezüglich verloren und hatte das Gefühl rein gar nichts in meinem Kleiderschrank passt zu dieser Ästhetik - ich hatte auch absolut keine Lust auf sie. Somit habe ich eine ganz andere Richtung eingeschlagen und einen 90er Jahre inspirierten Look rausgehauen. Zum einem ist das Outfit inspiriert gewesen von Buffy Summers aus Buffy the Vampire Slayer, zum anderen habe ich mich von 90er Jahre Abendmode leiten lassen. Letzteres vor allem beim Rock. Midi und Maxi Seiden Röcke geben mir einerseits immer so einen 90er Jahre Abendkleid-Look vibe, andererseits erinnern sie mich auch ein wenig an die Renaissance, an Künstler und Feminin Energy. So gesehen, habe ich ich also doch ein wenig Renaissance Flair in mein Outfit einbringen können.

Aber seien wir ehrlich, dieses Outfit ist vor allem eins: eine moderne 90er Jahre interpretation.

Originally I wanted to wear a Barock or Renaissance inspired Outfit. However, once the day of the trip arrived, not only had I lost all sense of inspiration in that direction and felt like my wardrobe was not offering me anything - I was also not feeling either vibe at all. Thus, I had to go for something completely different and my Outfit turned out to be a 90s revival situation. My main inspiration for this look were Buffy Summers from the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and 90s evening fashion. The later was mainly part of my decision to go for a satin midi skirt. I do not why exactly, but satin midi and maxi skirts always remind me of 90s evening fashion. At the same time they also always remind me of Renaissance related things, Art and Feminine Energy. Therefore, in a way because of the skirt I still had a bit of a Renaissance vibe in my outfit. 

But lets be real, the outfit is mostly one thing: a modern 90s interpretation.
