The shining comeback of Cowboy Boots

Mein 9. Jähriges ich würde vor Freude hüpfen wenn sie wüsste, das Cowboy Boots es tatsachlich in das Modebewusstsein europäischer Fashionistas geschafft haben. Meine Liebe für diese Schuhe ist schlicht und einfach auf eine gewissen Teenage Pop Sensation zurückzuführen, die in den 2000er nicht nur das Beste aus zwei Welten hatte, sondern vor allem die Herzen von Million von Kindern und Jugendlichen. Die gute Miss Hannah Montana, war nicht nur in Sachen Cowboy Boots eine Trendsetterin, ihr gesamter Kleiderschrank ist definitiv nach wie vor eine wundervolle Inspiration für Outfits jeglicher art.

My 9. year old self would be excited beyond believe if she knew, that cowboy boots have made it into the European fashion scene. My love for these shoes can a hudnert percent be traced back to a certain teenage pop sensation from the 2000s who not only had the best of both worlds but also millions of children and teenagers around the world loving her. Good old Miss Montana was not only a trendsetter when it comes to Cowboy boots however, her entire wardrobe is, to this day, a wonderful place to find inspiration for all sorts of outfits.

 

Fairerweise muss man sagen, Hannah Montana war natürlich nicht die erste Person die Cowboy-Boots fashion-mässig zum It-item gemacht hat. Wie so viele andere Kleidungsstücke, sind auch diese Schuhe schon immer mal wieder im Trend gewesen und dann nicht. Jedoch würde ich sagen, so sehr wie sie die letzten Monate gehypt wurden, habe ich es in meinen Lebzeiten (außerhalb Amerikas zu mindestens) noch nicht erlebt. 

To be fair, Hannah Montana was of course not the first one to make Cowboy boots a fashionable item. As so many other things, cowboy boots also have come and gone in and out of fashion. Nevertheless, I think this is the first time in my lifetime, that they have been as hyped as they’ve been the last few months. 

 

Jedenfalls, begann mit Hannah Montana meine Liebe für Cowboy Boots. Als ich 2018 nach Amerika ging wurde diese Liebe nur noch größer – jedoch wurde sie kurzzeitig von dem Schock überschattet wie teuer richtige Cowboy Boots eigentlich sind. Zu mindestens für jemanden der gerade erst die Schule beendet hat und noch nicht allzu viel verdient hat. Gerade wegen diesem Preis Faktor freue ich mich umso mehr, dass diese Stiefel jetzt so im Trend sind und man somit auch wesentlich erschwinglichere Varianten findet. 

Anyway, Hannah Montana is the reason I fell in love with cowboy boots. When I went to America in 2018 I was therefore, more than convinced, that I needed to buy myself a pair of real American cowboy boots. However, what I did not expect was the fact that those are real expensive. At least for someone who just graduated High School and hadn’t earnt that much money yet. Especially because of the price factor, I am even more excited about the emerge of Cowboy boots as fashion trend because there are many much more affordable options available now. 

 

Dementsprechend sollte man meinen ich hätte mir direkt welche angeschafft. Schweren Herzens muss ich jedoch gestehen, dass ich leider noch nicht die richtigen Cowboy Boots für mich gefunden habe.  Um ehrlich zu sein, ich hätte auch nichts dagegen einzuwenden mir im Laufe meines Lebens eine kleine Cowboystiefel Sammlung anzuzeigen, denn ich finde Cowboy Stiefel gehen einfach immer. Leider hatte ich bis jetzt nur nicht das Glück, Cowboy Stiefel die mir gefallen und passen zu finden. Wobei vor allem das letztere das wesentlich größere Challenge darstellt. Diejenigen unter euch deren Waden auch nicht in die Kategorie „basic fast fashion Waden Größe“ fallen, werden meinen Struggle damit passenden (hohe) Stiefel zu finden, wahrscheinlich gut verstehen.

 

Considering all this, one would think that by now I surely would have bought a pair of good old cowboy boots. However, I sadly must admit that in fact I do not own one single pair of cowboy boots yet ( I know I am just as shocked). To be honest, I would have nothing against owning an entire collection of Cowboy Boots. I just think they work with everything and make every outfit that tad bit more exciting. The main problem for me so far has just been that I have not found a pair of cowboy boots that I liked and that fit me. All of you who also don’t have calves that fall into the “one calf size available for shoes”, might understand my trouble of finding boots that go above my angle and fit me, in general. 

Nichtsdestotrotz, wird mich das letztere nicht davon abhalten noch Cowboy-Stiefel für mich zu finden. Irgendwann finde ich schon welche und selbst wenn sie dann nicht mehr im Trend sein sollten, werde ich sie Stolz rocken.  An dieser Stelle würde mich eure Meinugn zu dem Cowboy Boots Trend auch nochmal brennend interessieren. Seit ihr Fan des Ganzen, eher nicht oder habt ihr es euch einfach schon übersehen? Lasst es mich in den Kommentaren wissen! 

Nevertheless, this won’t stop me from finding a pair of Cowboy boots for myself. One day I will find at least one pair that will not only fit me but that I will also love.
